Jason "B.e.a." Schmidt, The Dorothy
golden fans at sea, nashville, chattanooga, hartford, derby
Jason B. Schmidt has been lauded as the world's premiere Bea Arthur impersonator with "perfect comic timing". He has been playing a Dorothy type since 2010 and has created his own Bea Arthur one woman show in addition to co-creating the four Golden Gays musicals (with one more in the works). Beyond B.E.A. (Beatrix Eglantine Aurthurson, a completely original character), Jason has also worked with drag legends Joey Arias, Sherry Vine, Flotilla DeBarge and Chris March. He is the owner of The Golden Gays™ brand and is the Artistic Producer. Shout out to Penny the Poodle and Dexter the Killer. www.jasonbschmidt.com @Bea_Astral_Dame |

Yochai Greenfeld, The BLANCHE
Golden Fans at Sea, Hartford, derby, p-town
Yochai Greenfeld is overjoyed to join the Golden Gays and is honored to step into the light of the Southern Belle herself. He received multidisciplinary training from the Jerusalem Academy of Music, Fresco Dance Company and the Acting Studio TLV. His recent credits include Yussel in "Fiddler on The Roof" (Broadway tour), Shaya in "Imported Bridegroom", and Shlomi/M.C in “Holylanders” (Off-Broadway). Though he’s no stranger to drag (@abbigezunt), he cannot wait to realize his “bosoms have the power to make music” |
joseph allen harter aka sunshine, The Rose
west coast + co
Picture it: Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 2002. A young Joe Harter has just moved to town, and he lands the role of Joseph in a community theatre production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at the Lake Worth Playhouse. This marks the start of an extremely varied life in the theater that continues to this day. Some of his more interesting stops along the way include playing Hedwig in “Hedwig and the Angry Inch”, singing Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with Andrea Bocelli, teaching line dance lessons at the gay country western bar Charlie’s Las Vegas, and playing the piano for tip money on the internet during the pandemic. He currently resides in Las Vegas where he performs regularly as his drag alter ego, Sunshine. As Sunshine, he hosts Broadway Brunch at The Phoenix Bar & Lounge (voted “Best Gay Bar” in the Las Vegas Review Journal’s “Best Of 2023” awards), and he was a cast member in the all-live-singing drag revue “Faaabulous the Show” for its entire 2.5 year run (hosted by Edie of Cirque Du Soleils’s “Zumanity”, and awarded “Best Drag Production” twice by Vegas 411). Appearing as Rose Nylund with the Golden Gays is yet another exciting new twist in his eclectic career, but he still feels like the same young kid who was excited and nervous to sing “Any Dream Will Do” at an audition all those years ago.
